Boston United have clarified that a pre-match incident in the new South Stand caused a brief evacuation of away supporters. The club confirmed the kitchen in the concourse area was undamaged and the stand will be operational for Tuesday's fixture.

A statement from the club said, "A pre-match incident in the concourse kitchen of the new South Stand forced the evacuation of the away area, although all supporters were re-admitted to the East Stand in time for kick-off." The incident occurred shortly before the National League match against Wealdstone at Jakemans Community Stadium. The club commended the understanding of the 86 travelling fans who were affected.

No damage was sustained. "The kitchen did not suffer any damage, and the South Stand will be in operation for the Woking fixture on Tuesday evening," the club added. On the pitch, the Pilgrims fell to a 3-1 defeat despite taking an early lead through Jamie Grimes. The result leaves Boston 15th in the National League with 11 points from nine games. Their recent form shows one win, two draws and two losses from the last five outings. The team will need to improve on their goal minutes, having conceded 5 of their 13 goals this season in the final 15 minutes of matches.

Attention now turns to a tough home game against fourth-placed AFC Fylde this Saturday, with the Pilgrims set to host Woking next Tuesday.
