Boston United have announced the permanent signing of midfielder Levi Sutton. The 29-year-old arrives to bolster the Pilgrims' midfield options ahead of Saturday's National League trip to Forest Green Rovers.
Sutton, who will wear the number 16 shirt, brings extensive Football League experience from spells with Scunthorpe United, Bradford City and Harrogate Town. He started his career in League One with Scunthorpe and spent five years there before moving to Bradford in League Two. Released by Harrogate at the end of last season, he played 30 times for them over three campaigns.
Manager Paul Hurst moved for the midfielder to add depth, with Gavan Holohan having missed a midweek game through injury and Nicholas Pozo joining up with the Gibraltar national team. Sutton is registered and available for selection immediately.
The signing comes as Boston look to improve on a difficult start to the season. They sit 18th in the National League with eight points from eight games, having taken just two points from their last five matches. Their most recent result was a 1-1 home draw with Woking. The full run of recent results is available on our stats page.
