Boston United's Frankie Maguire is set to join York City's Minstermen from July 1, with the clubs in dialogue over a compensation figure. He signed from Sheffield United in the summer of 2024 and despite missing spells of the most recently-completed season through injury, still managed to contribute nine goals and nine assists as the Pilgrims secured a top half finish in the National League. Maguire's departure will be a significant blow to Boston United, who will need to regroup and find a replacement for the talented young striker.
