Boston United striker Ken Aboh scored the winner in a 1‑0 victory over Altrincham on Saturday. The 21‑year‑old, who impressed on loan last season, said he hopes the team can upset Boreham Wood in their upcoming match.
Aboh’s decisive strike
Aboh described the goal as a simple run behind the defence, following a great pass from Jamie Grimes. “I was delighted to add the finish to get the three points,” he said. He added that he could have taken a second shot to make the game even but felt the win was the priority.
Confidence for the next game
During a post‑match interview, Aboh expressed optimism about Boston United’s prospects against Boreham Wood, a title‑hopeful side. “I don’t see why we can’t go to Boreham Wood and give them an upset – I back myself and I back the lads,” he said.
Returning to Boston
Aboh highlighted that Boston United has always been his first choice. “I always had Boston in my mind and I always let people know around me that if I didn’t feel comfortable with other teams, then Boston was the only team I would go to in the National League,” he said.
