Boston United’s First Win of the Season
Boston United picked up their first win of the National League season with a 2-0 victory over Solihull on Saturday. The Pilgrims, who had been beaten 1-0 by Aldershot in their opening match at home, finally found the back of the net against Solihull.

The match began with a goal from Lennon Wheeldon in the 29th minute, giving Boston the lead. Ken Aboh added to the tally just three minutes after the break, doubling Boston's advantage. Despite a late penalty attempt from Tom Cursons, which was saved by Solihull goalkeeper Max Metcalfe, Boston held on to secure their first win of the season.
The victory was a significant milestone for the Pilgrims, who began their campaign with a 5-2 loss away to Harrogate. Solihull, who also struggled in their opening matches, remain winless after their 1-0 defeat to Aldershot and their 5-2 loss to Harrogate.
